Selection Parelduiken lunchconcert 2025 announced
Many of the works written by Dutch composers are rarely performed after their premiere. What a shame! Let's change that.
Following last year’s great success, we naturally decided that Parelduiken deserved a sequel. Once again, several “parels” (pearls) have been selected from the vast repertoire of Dutch music, bringing new attention to these sometimes almost forgotten works.

For the second edition of this project, a free lunchtime concert is planned for 12 December 2025 in TivoliVredenburg featuring works by four composers have not been programmed in a long time. In addition to the works themselves, there will be short interviews with the composers, led by Anne-Maartje Lemereis. An open call was held for members of Nieuw Geneco and the jury, consisting of Aad van Nieuwkerk, to fill the programme for this concert, Doris Hochscheid and Aljosja Buijs has determined the selection.
For this concert, works by the following composers have been selected:
Carlos Michans (1950) – L’ANGE MAUDIT – 2000 – ca. 8’30” – Violin and piano
Petra Strahovnik (1986) – Crop circle, 2014, 10′, Violin, cello, accordion
Martijn Voorvelt (1967) – 3/3, 2001, 10 min., piano, violin, cello
Vanessa Lann (1968) – Springs Eternal / 2007 / 8’30” / violin and piano
