Karmit Fadael (1996) wins ‘Het Gouden Viooltje’ (the golden violin).

The 28-year-old Frisian composer, Karmit Fadael, was awarded the prize by the board of the Gouden Viooltje Foundation.

This award is presented once every three years to an exceptional talent from Groningen, Friesland, or Drenthe, who is making an international impact. The ceremony took place on April 12, 2024, at a concert by the North Netherlands Orchestra, where her violin concerto “Mimesis” (performed by Pieter van Loenen) premiered.
