Esther Gottschalk presents various fair practice initiatives at Belgian Music Days.
There was, among other things, attention for the Fair Practice report by ECSA, which was released in November.
On February 15, the Flemish chapter of the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) organised a meeting during the Belgian Music Days. During this gathering, Esther Gottschalk, director of Nieuw Geneco, delivered a keynote address on various Fair Practice initiatives, including the Nieuw Geneco Fair Practice Code for composition commissions and the Nieuw Geneco Fair Practice Award. In particular, she discussed the Fair Practice report released in November 2023 in collaboration with the Fair Practice Working Group of the Composers Alliance (ECSA).
