ISCM selection Faroe Islands announced

Also this year, the jury received a large number of applications to participate in ISCM World Music Days, the next edition of which will be held in the Faroe Islands.

The jury consisted of Oda Yu, Huba de Graaf and Alison Isadora.

The 6 chosen works are:

• Ig Henneman – Outside the Rain has Stopped – Categ 5 – String Quartet
• Ivan Vukosavljevic – The Ladder – Categ 11 – organ solo
• Janco Verduin – Wheatfield with crows – Categ 1 – large chamber ensemble
• Petra Strahovnik – Attack – Categ 5 – String QuartetRicardo Huisman – Sudden Day Dream, (in)somnia (co)incidental diversity – Categ 12 – Electronic music with fixed media
• Tilen Lebar – Hassan – Categ 13 – Composer/performer

Nieuw Geneco represents the Netherlands in the ISCM network. An international jury will make a final choice from all nominations (country sections and individual entries).
